I am researching the surname Kendall and it's connection to Westmoreland The Kendall family came from the town of Kendall on the river Kent, Westmoreland county, England. The emigrants to this country were Francis and Deacon Thomas Kendall, who sailed from England under the alias of Myles, again taking the name of Kendall upon reaching this country. Their father, John Kendall, lived in Cambridge, England, in 1646, where he died in 1660. We hope to find connections between the American Kendall families and our English roots. We are conducting a Kendall DNA Project to help supplement our conventional genealogy.
