Hi, I am new to list and are researching Edward Bittle BRIGHT and Ellen nee SEARS, they were married in the Parish of Rivershead in 1887. His father was John BRIGHT, tile maker and her father George SEARS, farmer. She was born in Sevenoaks Kent 1861 in a centuries old farmhouse that I have a picture of, but can't work out the name of it on the back of the photo. It could be NORMAN SIREH FARM or IDEAL FARM KENT. Can anyone help please, Jan

Hi Jan, and welcome. Are you sure about Ellen's birth year? I can't see an Ellen SEARS born in Sevenoaks around 1861. But there is one born in 1866 who can be found in the 1871 census with father George and mother Martha on Clenches Farm, Little Kippington, where the family seem to remain until at least 1911. It looks as though your family's connection with the farm continued for some time!
