I was hoping that SKS could help me with the maiden name of Ann, James MUTTON’S wife. Also, the parents of James MUTTON and any history there is regarding this family. Also, when Ann MUTTON (nee ???) died. I found her as a Widow on the 1881 Census. I have found James’ death, but not sure which one is Ann. The story of the family follows. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

Hi Peter, I suppose we can assume that D.Mutton could be James brother and maybe Sarah is either the wife of D Mutton, or groom and best man's sister. One part of family research Down Under that gets everyone excited, is if a convict is discovered. This is considered to be Aussie Royalty. While digging deeper this afternoon into Isaiah's second wife, Mary Wests' family tree, I found that she was the granddaughter of one Thomas Yarwood aka Woods, a convict sentenced to Life for theft. He came from Weaverham in Cheshire and arrive in the Colony per "Indefatigable" in 1815. He would have been the gg grandfather of the 4 doctors and the journalist Selma, the children of Isaiah Mutton Jrn. I am sure that the chappie I am helping with the family research will be very impressed indeed.
