    3. Hi Jane, Thanks, I will take a look, I would be very interested to know where the info for the last name of Elizabeth came from. All the best. 3. This is my interest too as I saw the public tree on Ancestry but the Sussex Marriage Index from SFHG shows the marriage was between Henry Hoad and Elizabeth Russell. I will try to get to the Records Office in the next couple of weeks and will tell you what I find, Stuart. Jane Hi Jane, Can you direct me to this family tree with the info as this is one of my direct family lines. Best regards D. Hope this helps. Jane. I wonder if anyone can help me please. My ancestor is Margaret Ann Hoad, christened 1837 in Rye. She married Dick Douch Clark in 1863 in Udimore and on the marriage certificate it shows her father as Henry Hoad, shipwright. On a christening record in Ancestry it shows parents Henry Hoad and Elizabeth. I have found her in the 1851 census aged 13 and a servant in Ashford but have been unable to find her in the 1841 and 1861. I have found her in later census records when her surname changed to Clark. I found Henry in the 1841 census, together with Betsy and their children Sarah and Lewis. In the 1851 census Henry was a widower with children Sarah and Lewis with him. It will be a few weeks before I can get to the Lewes Records Office and I wondered if anyone had these people in their tree and could help in supplying Margaret's mother's maiden name?
