According to "West Kent Sources", there are no surviving Bishops Transcripts for East Farleigh between 1670 & 1799. Those BTs that do survive are not held at the Canterbury Cathedral Archives since East Farleigh was not in Canterbury Diocese. East Farleigh was in the Exempt/Peculiar Deanery of Shoreham and in the Diocese of Rochester. BTs 1669-70 & 1799-1812 are held at Lambeth Palace. Later BTs were at the Centre for Kentish Studies, and presumably now at the new Kent History Centre. The parish is not responsible for missing BTs. Very few 18th century BTs for the Shoreham Deanery have survived.
