Dear Mary Ann Kitzel, If you search the censuses for 1851-1891 for the Margate area you will find deaf families and pupils at the Royal Margate School for the Deaf in and around Margate. Several were printers and are in my Kent book trade directory, 1750-1900. I have a pamphlet entitled Merry Margate and it is on that school; the pamphlet was printed in the 1890s. Doesn't give many names, though. Richard Goulden
