Richard Wells, of North Street, born about 1799, aged 37 was buried at St Marylebone on 13 December 1836 Think that's probably your man. With your clues I have been able to trace the family to the censuses of 1841 and 1851 in Marylebone, London. Ann Wells ,widow, "charwoman," born 1799-1806 at St. Marylebone, was listed as a widow with children Thomas W. born c. 1826, Richard E. born c.1831-2, Elizabeth born c.1833-4 and Sarah born c.1836-7. Finding the identity of the husband of Ann Wells is now the problem. I have been unable to find baptismal records at St. Marylebone that might give me clues to his name. Any ideas. I promise this will be my last question. Thank you for your wonderful help. I'm coming to Kent in June and I'm trying to help another "amateur" genealogist discover his heritage before my trip. We are trying to establish a common ancestor. > > Regards, > John Wells >
