Here¹s what I have so far: John and Jane Tipp of Woolwich had at least five children including: Henry b. 9 Feb 1820 (shoemaker) m. Maria ? In Œ51, living Deptford Emma bapt 6 Aug 1824 Woolwich, St Mary Magadalene (dress maker) m John H Cossmatt (sp?) of Plymouth, Devon. (rivet maker) at least two children: Henry Julian b. approx. 1843 Sarah Jane b. approx. 1847 In Œ51, living Deptford Maria b. approx. 1832 (servant) In Œ51, living with her sister and brother-in-law (above) plus at least two other children. I am looking to confirm the spelling of Cossmatt and any information on Henry¹s (Maria¹s single name) and Emma¹s marriage. Location? Dates? Witnesses? Your help would be of great assistance.     3. Henry married Maria MIERS 15.12.1850 at St John, Horsleydown, father Samuel MIERS, basket maker, witness John MIERS. He subsequently married (as a widower) 16.6.1856 Mary LING nee MACNAMARA, a widow, at St Nicholas Deptford. Henry's father given as John TIPP, shipwright at both marriages. HTH!
