John, On July 2nd 1837, Thomas William, Richard James, Elizabeth Ann and Sarah, children of Richard and Ann Wells of 34 North Street were baptised at Marylebone Christ Church. They lived at 34 North Street. There is no occupation for Richard - it just says Father deceased' in the occupation box. Dates of birth given were 6 december 1825 for Thomas William, 29th Jan 1830 for Richard, 15 Feb 1832 for Elizabeth and 14 April 1836 for Sarah. Hope this is of some help. With your clues I have been able to trace the family to the censuses of 1841 and 1851 in Marylebone, London. Ann Wells ,widow, "charwoman," born 1799-1806 at St. Marylebone, was listed as a widow with children Thomas W. born c. 1826, Richard E. born c.1831-2, Elizabeth born c.1833-4 and Sarah born c.1836-7. Finding the identity of the husband of Ann Wells is now the problem. I have been unable to find baptismal records at St. Marylebone that might give me clues to his name. Any ideas. I promise this will be my last question. Thank you for your wonderful help. I'm coming to Kent in June and I'm trying to help another "amateur" genealogist discover his heritage before my trip. We are trying to establish a common ancestor. > > Regards, > John Wells > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
