Hi I am looking for birth, baptisms, deaths,burials and marriages in Sheerness, the Dockyard Chapel and surrounding areas, can anyone tell me if they have survived and how I can access the information I am looking for. the time frame I am looking at is between late 1600’s up in to the early 1800’s Families I am looking for include CHAMBERS STEPHENSON/STEVENSON SAYWELL WEST Any advise or assistance would be most appreciated Rod

Is that where you mean? If it is then have a look on City Ark (http://cityark.medway.gov.uk/) They may also have some of the other parishes you are interested in. The registers aren't indexed so it means trawling through them as you would if you were looking at the actual register. The new FamilySearch may have some. Connie in London
Rod, Such records as survive for the Sheerness chapel are held at the National Archives, Kew, in class ADM 6. ADM 6/429 Sheerness Dockyard Church, Kent; baptisms (1688-1798), marriages (1744), burials (1730-1806). Minster-in-Sheppey, Kent; baptisms, marriages and burials (Oct 1808 -Apr 1809). ADM 6/430 Sheerness Dockyard Church; baptisms (1688-1798), marriages (1744), burials (1730-1806) ADM 6/431 Sheerness Dockyard Church; baptisms (1798-1812), burials (1807-1826), brief history (1667-1892) ADM 6/438 Sheerness Dockyard Church; baptisms. 1885-1960 They are not online, and you will probably need a researcher to access them for you.
