Hi Mary Beth According to Ancestry Emma Tipp was chr 1817 St Mary Magdalene. There is also a family tree on Ancestry (Tomlinson Glan family tree) showing her marrying Aaron Whiley before marrying Julian Andrew Corfmatt. First marr is on Ancestry - at St John, Hoxton on 3 Oct 1842 - also on FreeBMD. Witnesses Joseph Whiley & Mary Amparnall? The second marr, also on Ancestry - at St George the Martyr, Southwark on 20 Dec 1846 - also on FreeBMD. Witnesses William Tipp & Jane Tipp. The spelling of Corfmatt seems consistent between Parish records and FreeBMD. There are two Aaron Whiley deaths on FreeBMD - Dec 1843 St George in the East and Jun 1846 Bethnal Green. As Emma remarried at St George in the East I would be inclined towards this one but you know what family research is like. Son Henry was registered as Henry Julian Whiley in Greenwich district Jun 1843 (so perhaps Julian Corfmatt was a family friend). I can't, at the moment find Sarah Jane's registration either under Whiley or any version of Corfmatt. However, have found her chr on familysearch.com - Sarah Jane Corfmatt b 15 Mar 1847 chr 23 May 1847 St Nicholas, Deptford - so looks like she was Julian Corfmatt's daughter. There are also further children of Julian & Emma on familysearch. Not sure which branch of the family you are now looking at but there is a chr for an Aaron Whiley 18 Aug 1816 St Andrew Holborn (with father Samuel as per marr register). Hope this helps Sue -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mary Beth Kitzel Sent: 02 April 2012 04:31 To: Kent Eng Subject: [KENT-ENG] FW: Tipp Family Deptford/Greenwich Hello Listers, I am looking for information on the Tipp family of Woolwich and Deptford.
