Thanks for replying. I had taken a look on Streetview and thought it likely that the houses in that area were all original because of the chimney pots. I know people often move on the same street. My immediate James line seems to have lived in at least half of the houses on Brookdale Road in Catford. It was only because this family stayed so long at each of these addresses, and because the numbers were so similar that I thought it might be the same place renumbered. View the houses on Google Street View.
