Hi Phillis, I was in a convescent home in Broadstairs for 18 months when I was 6 or 7 I left when I was 8. I was there at the time of the conronation. Not happy memories. I cannot remember the name, it was run by nuns, there were about 100 of us there. It was a short walk from a small beach with Kingsgate Castle perched on top. also very near the Lighthouse. It had a small chapel and although I was not catholic we spent an awful lot of time there. The catholics spent much more. My one good memory is that it was a very old building and even then I appreciated the history, allthough we were not allowed to see most of it, or even hear about it. Regards, Sylvia in Aus.
