    3. Hi List, I have just returned from my aunts 80th birthday party, and been reminded about a family tale that said we have a pirate in our past. The information given was that his name was Peter and he was hanged in West Africa! A bit of digging shows that "Black Barts" Roberts crew was actually captured there and 52 were hanged. (in 1722) I have ordered the book "If a Pirate I Must Be ... The True Story of "Black Bart" through that well known online store But would like to ask listers if they have any advice on where I can find further details. Wikipedia does have some info on Black Bart but of course it is the 52 who were hanged who I'm interested in. I need the names (which hopefully will be in the book) and any other details from anywhere. Are the trial records anywhere for example? Were there any other instances of hangings in Africa? Any help would be appreciated. Beats trawling thro' PRs! TIA Neil.
