I assume you have searched all the parish records on medwaycityark? I myself have spent many hours searching with just a snippet of information. It is surprising what you may find on there. I have searched and searched online for any information on his exact birth or christening. Depending on which Canadian record I look at, I gather sometime between 1799 and 1801. He was married around 1828 in Quebec City Canada and I have found that record, which means he immigrated sometime before then. His occupation was listed as mariner at the time he was married, but I haven't found any records on immigration either. He was married twice after that, as a widower each time. Lastly, I have done a DNA test on the male side, and am not a match to any known Edgars on Ancestry. Was he adopted, was his dad, did the name change from some other name, etc. Anyway if anyone has a few minutes and records they could look thru for that time, I would be very grateful.
