Frances, It has been suggested that Clara Lucy FARR married in 1884 in Dartford RD and is therefore probably not the 'wife' of Henry Glanville BOGG. Marriages Jun 1884 Blanchard Eliza Martha Dartford 2a 693 Farr Clara Dartford 2a 693 Privett Arthur Dartford 2a 693 Privitt Arthur Dartford 2a 693 Starling Joseph Benjamin Dartford 2a 693 But the GRO Births index shows at least two feasible candidates for that 1884 marriage: Births Jun 1857 FARR Clara Lucy Lewisham 1d 624 Births Mar 1862 FARR Clara Maria Greenwich 1d 681 Census evidence from 1891, 1901 and 1911 shows that Joseph Benjamin STARLING's wife Clara was born about 1861-62 in Woolwich. Woolwich came under Greenwich RD before 1869. She could be Clara Maria FARR, who had dropped her middle name. Henry BOGG's 'wife' Clara had the middle name Lucy in their children's baptism records, the middle initial L in the 1901 census, and was born about 1857 in Plumstead. Plumstead came under Lewisham RD. The BOGG couple had a daughter called Beatrice, who may have been named after Clara Lucy FARR's sister Beatrice, showing in the FARR household in Plumstead in 1871. I still believe Clara Lucy FARR is a very feasible candidate for the 'wife' of Henry Glanville BOGG. But, as has already been said, that is speculation, and a birth certificate for one of the BOGG children is needed to confirm her maiden name.
