    3. Hi Liz, Thank you, very much for taking the time to write. I shall check the Beckenham/Benenden dilemma today. Liz wrote, "I would also like to say that I think the OPC is a brilliant project and you people all give so much of your time and for that I am very grateful". Thank you, Liz for that statement. I think there are many who forget that this is an entirely 100% volunteer-based project and as such are a very small and light operation. We are blessed by the auspices of good people who are transcribing and donating materials and blessed by the favourable auspices of the various archives around Kent, as well as FamilySearch. I think that many people are entirely unfamiliar with the types of technology that are used by a large proportion of our visitors. I am still having to keep pages workable for IE 6, Windows 98 operating systems and people who are on dial-up. If it weren't for the support of all of our participants and for the kind people such as yourself, we would not continue to exist. Life is tough enough trying to keep hackers, spinners, phishers, spammers and scammers out - of which we suffer close to 300 attacks per week. Let alone, trying to get to over 600 pages to update, reconfigure and add new data and new pages. So, sometimes progress if very slow, indeed. But, once again, thank you for our kind words of encouragement. They are very much appreciated. Sincerely, Susan D. 3. I wrote to someone through Kent-online-Parish-Clerks who advertised herself as willing to do lookups but I haven't heard anything back. How long should I wait for a reply? Best wishes Frances On 6 September 2013 16:30, Susan Young <zandara@cogeco.ca> wrote: > Hi Liz, > > Thank you, very much for taking the time to write.
