Hello Dave Coming up to this important remembrance time of the year, your endeavours a constant reminder of the high price this country paid for waging war. The mess we are now in, if that isn't a testimony to the futility of conflict. Although I served my time in the armed forces, now in later life I am staunchly pacifist. Oh yeah, some will say we must stand up to enemies; fat lot of good that has done us, our enemies now flourish whilst we are sorely diminished as a nation. Born in 1931, I remember the old Britain, still respected, though even then we were on the slippery slope, having lost much of the cream of the country's youth as your excellent researches sadly demonstrate.
