Hi again, Sorry, I should have mentioned that my Thomas Briggs (Jnr) - his father was also named Thomas. I do not have his mother's name as it was not on the marriage certificate. Thomas (Jnr) married Marie Richards, daughter of a blacksmith. Died suddenly three months later, cause = purpura. Every Thomas Briggs I find is still alive in the 1861 census and therefore NOT my Thomas Briggs. I have been searching for Thomas for nearly 20 years now.
