    3. Thank you Yvonne. This information is all of a great help to me, as this is a new branch of the family that I have just discovered. I had begun to think that any English branch of the ABSOLON family had died out because of being all girls remaining in England; they bore girls and quite a few never married. This branch bears the SMITH name, which is always difficult. The 3 surviving males of the ABSOLON branch of Eleanor's mother's family, one of which from whom I am descended, emigrated to Australia.
