Hello listers! I will not be inviting my 12th great grandfather Richard Wells to my home for Christmas because 19 of my cousins and I are coming to Willesborough, Kent, in July to experience his memory! Hi John As an aside, I once had the pleasure of driving Dr Gordon Mitchell (son of Reg Mitchell) to a Proms Concert where the opening piece of music was the Spitfire Prelude and Fugue. During the journey we talked about our family history research and he said that he had never been able to go back beyond his Grandfather. I said I would give it a try but he was right for, as far as I could determine, his Grandfather seemingly just appeared on the scene out of nowhere? Ho John Sorry, I forgot to say that we had a Spitfire (Piloted by Caroline Grace) doing a display overhead in line with the music? Very heart rendering, especially when I collected her from the Airfield and brought her back to the Concert area. Everyone stood up gave her a standing ovation.
