The parents of Maria BUTLER born somewhere around 1870 Woolwich but not showing on the 1871 census. She was in the metropolitan district school along with brother Charles BUTLER born about 1867 Woolwich. He disappears after he leaves the school. Maria married William Pearson 2nd Aug 1890 in Northfleet Kent. I have been inviting this family to dinner for several years and have almost given up hope of going any further with this line. However I do have one line of enquiry left and that is to look at the admission notes for these 2 children when they entered the school. To do this I will have to return home.....
