Good afternoon from New Zealand I am seeking someone that can help me, in 2001 I went to Kew record office and found a great Uncle that was in the Royal Marines (Walmer Chatham Division) I did have the information but since then have changed 2 computers and the information seems to have been lost. If possible is there anyone that can get me his information from Walmer The name is Frederick Harris 1873/74 Hammersmith London I know he enlisted 30 December 1890 not sure how long he did his time but about the end of 1911 he was on the Titanic as a fireman, he was a survivor but haven't any details where he was taken to after being saved I did check Ellis Island but nothing there Any help appreciated Thanks to you all for your help Eileen

My Basden/Baseden ancestors came straight from Kent County, England to Jackson County, IL and I am trying to figure out why. That is not the normal migration pattern in the US. They arrived here shortly before October 1851.
