Hello the Kent list, I have the family of a GEORGE BROOKS (aged 36) on the 1861 census; with his wife EMMA (aged 34). There are four children ELIZABETH (aged 11) CHARLES (AGED 9) who I am researching, GEORGE, (AGED 6) and ADELAIDE (aged 1) They are living in the parish of Waltham with a Bridge registration district. GEORGE is said to have been born at Brabourne. The whole family seems to have vanished by the time of the 1871 census! CHARLES, I know did join the Army. Could anyone help? I thought that there might have been some sort of local tradgedy. A steer in the right direction would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance John Richardson Eaton Socon Cambridgeshire
