Hello Christopher, I don't know of a Broughton in Kent other than a biggish property/estate near Sevenoaks. There is Boughton, a village near Faversham. There are four parishes in Kent with name Boughton as a prefix, or if you prefer it the other way, with other names as suffixes ! - Aluph, Malherbe, Monchelsea and - under Blean The latter is the village near Faversham, As surnames had variants so, historically and up to a point, did places particularly if you compare with 16th c spellings Lots of Broughtons elsewhere in the country ! Your choice, but the Broughton House was not a parish !
