Good day fellow researchers, if anyone is visiting the LMA in the near future I wonder if I could possibly ask for a lookup. I'm trying to verify the father of Penelope Dodd on her parish registry marriage entry. I have the LMA ref number for the fiche and the date so it shouldn't be a long search. I have the Marriage certificate from the GRO and her father is given as Thomas. >From Census and Parish records I suspect her father was actually Stephen. I'm hoping that there was a transcription error somewhere along the line from the original. The details are: Marriage: William Tillett and Penelope Dodd. The PR image is on Ancestry - it reads very clearly Thomas Dodd - Dead There are also these baptisms Penelope Dodd Gender: Female Birth Date: abt 1835 Christening Date: 11 Jan 1835 Christening Place: Suffolk, England Father's Name: Stephen Dodd Mother's Name: Ann Penelope Dodd Baptism 24 Jan 1827 Lawrence Dodd, Sarah Dodd St Botolph Aldgate City of London so there were a few Penelope Dodds around.
