Doe anyone have this couple on their tree, or provide any further clues as to their whereabouts prior to, or after the 1861 census? Johanna COOK is listed as having been born in c1833 in Frinsbury, Kent, but it may be a mis-spelling of Frindsbury. William J COOK is listed as a Mariner, born in Clapham, Surrey c1831. The couple were living in Love Lane, Milton near Sittingbourne which was near Kings Mill. I haven't been able to find a marriage on freebmd and have considered that perhaps there hadn't been one. I have also considered that COOK may in actual fact be COCK, but again haven't found a marriage. I have a missing branch on my tree and this couple may hold the key to a mystery. I have no experience with tracing mariners ... it's looking like a giant black hole at the moment!!!!!!! Many thanks Beth
