I have an ancestor who place of birth, in a document c.1849, is written down as Ridgeborough. A general search for this place brings zero results. However I did locate a Time Team website article that speaks of " the Romans landed near here at Ridgeborough". Later in the same article the placename Richborough is used. Could someone with 'local' knowledge confirm whether these place are one and the same and also where 'they' are located. BrianM
