    3. Hi Sue, I was just going to respond in same. Lodger - is a person who lives at a residence. -a roomer - etc Boarder - is a person - who lives/pays for the room - with meals included. Many years ago -my parents owned quite a large house - Father always had a good job -mother was at home with the 3 of us. We had more bedrooms than we needed - though only one bathroom /separate toilet area. Mother had - 2 Lodgers -They had quite large bedrooms. and one elderly man- was a boarder.,his room was smaller - All had access to the living room - radio . Holidays - Birthdays etc - All welcome to help us celebrate. Happy New Year.
