The fellow of Faversham whose baptism I am looking for on this post, was one Morgan GOODWIN c.1575. He had trouble with his son John c.1595 who, in 1617 stole one Gelding from his father worth £7. He was found guilty but had ran off to Hythe. I am hoping to find more on this at Canterbury Archives soon. Another son, Daniel Goodwin, by Morgan's fourth wife, made an interesting choice in his first marriage Daniel GOODWIN of Swalecliffe, Husbandsman Bachelor, 23, whose parents are dead, and Joan SAINTE of Swalecliffe, Virgin, about 50. July 22nd 1642. Would be interested to hear from an Sainte descendants Suzannah One ancestor, Benjamin FOAD was put into St Augustine's Prison for 7 days for being 'idle and disorderly', something which has passed down the generations!! :) ----- Original Message ---- From: dennis bramble <d.bramble@mypostoffice.co.uk> To: Suzannah Foad <suzannah.foad@btopenworld.com>; KENT-ENG@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, 14 January, 2010 20:24:36 Subject: Re: [KENT-ENG] Faversham CMB prior to 1620 All I can offer from my lot is one bigamist, tried at the Old Bailey and given one day only in prison as punishment.
