Does anyone have any information on the Sittingbourne Bargemen's Brotherhood? I have identified my great-grandfather (William MILLS) in a group photo taken in about 1921 and used to illustrate an article by Frank Willmott in Byegone Kent V15 number 12. The photo has an acknowledgment to Henry Attwater Jnr. I cannot find anything written about the Brotherhood other than that article. Chris Baker

All come under the Amalgamated society of Watermen, Lightermen and Bargemen. Hope some of this helps. My cousin in the UK contacted the chappy on this website who was very helpful.
