    2. hI According to various family trees on Ancestry: Mary Belsey born abt 1787 Kent Died 29 Dec 1883 Kent Married 1 Feb 1806 to James Terry. Parents John Belsey and Elizabeth Vanson Mary Belsey born 5 May 1787 Coldred died 1858 Wingham married 1 Feb 1806 Kent to James Terry. Parents Isaac Belsey and Ann Kemp Mary Belsey born 5 May 1787 Kent died 1883 Kent married 1 Feb Wingham Kent to James Terry. Parents Henry Belsey and Mary Friend Mary Belsey born 1788 Northbourne, Kent - Parents Isaac Belsey and Sarah Adams. Mary Belsey born 31 Jan 1789 Kent died 1884 Eastry, Kent married James Terry Mary Belsey born 31 Jan 1789 Dover, Kent died Mar 1884 Eastry married 1806 Kent to James Terry A lot of conflictions! Regards Diana Re: I have a brick wall that is driving me nuts. To those BELSEY researchers out there in the big wide world of cyberspace please help me. Many years ago a wonderful by the name of woman Margaret BELSEY from Kent, who has alas since passed on, gave me and I do know a number of you fellow BELSEY researchers charts showing our lines back to Thomas BELSEY & Joan HUCKING. For near on 20 years I believed that I was connected through John BELSEY & Elizabeth VANSON( according to Margaret's chart), supposedly through their daughter Mary BELSEY whom she said had married James TERRY. This fact has now been found to be untrue. Yes a Mary BELSEY did marry my James TERRY in 1806 but her parents were Isaac BELSEY & Ann KEMP. They married 10-Oct-1776, in Ickham. This Isaac BELSEY was born abt 1751 and died 15 Feb 1840 in Rowling, aged 89. I have his Deat certificate which shows a Charlotte BELSEY as the informant. Charlotte was married to Isaac's son John. What I need to establish is who were Isaac's parents and where was he born? His wife Ann KEMP was born in Northbourne but as for Isaac I haven't a clue. I have looked at all the Isaac's in my tree and there are quite a number of them but alas none in or around 1751. If any BELSEY researcher has info on my elusive Isaac I would so appreciate hearing from you. Thanking you in advance, Ruth New Zealand --

    3. Hi Diane, Thanks for those Mary BELSEY's you found. Yes I have also found them on Ancestry alas they are not correct. You mentioned this one....> Mary Belsey born 5 May 1787 Coldred died 1858 Wingham married 1 Feb 1806 Kent to James Terry. Parents Isaac Belsey and Ann Kemp. I know the subscriber and I gave her the correct information. Guess she has not yet fixed up her tree on ancestry. Vey confusing as there are so many Mary BELSEY's. I have Mary's death certificate and the informant was her daughter Charlotte. Mary was christened 24-Aug-1788, All Saints, Chillenden, Kent, Eng, died aged 96, Chillenden, Eyethorn, Eastry, Kent, Eng. A pity my Mary hadn't been born to John BELSEY & Elizabeth VANSON as it all fitted in very nicely. Hopefully someone out there may just pick up on my entry.
