Marion, Have you contacted Bob Ogley? (google his name) He is a local historian who has written severel books on Kentish history.  Bob writes a column in the Kentish Times, and I am sure if you posted your enquiry to the newspaper, or to Bob, with a little more information, I am sure you will get some information.
