Dear List Members, I have Sophia NOWER in my tree and I am seeking further information about her. Sophia was Baptised on 9 Mar 1817 at St Mary the Virgin Parish Church, Rolvenden, Kent, the daughter of James and Hannah NOWER. Sophia had one older sister, Jane and two younger sisters, Ann and Elizabeth. Sophia NOWER married William THORNCRAFT about 1835, probably in Kent. Their first child, Reuben was born about 1836 and it is likely that the family migrated to Australia prior to the 1841 UK Census. The couple had another nine children in Australia and Sophia NOWER died in 1887 at Millthorpe, NSW. Any further information on Sophia NOWER greatly appreciated and I would be very happy to pass on what information I have on the THORNCRAFT family. Leigh.
