In 1901 Joseph Henry Carter aged 28 is a gunner in the Royal Marine Artillery on board the Renown in Malta, born St Lukes, London RG13; Piece: 5332; Folio: 22; Page: 35 When you say "He believed his birthdate was March 13, 1875" how do you know ? What birthdate is on his Navy records ? How sure are you that this is the same man as in 1911 ?
