Hi List I have a post card of a 24 hour clock set in a wall, I think it was in Greenwich? does anyone know anything about this clock? where was it? Also where would I need to go to find the records of my Grandmother's family (Bush) who were all from the Greenwich area? regards Ray (Isle of Wight)
Hello Ray, That's the old Royal Observatory in Greenwich Park. Hi Ray, I think you need to be a wee bit more specific. Ancestry has a lot of London records of Baptisms, marriages and deaths for London & surrounds going up on the website all the time. St Alfeges Church Greenwich springs to mind and the Greenwich records can be accessed in many places including ordering the film at the LDS family history rooms. BUT that being said, my father always said be was (born Greenwich), but he and most of his siblings were baptised St Pauls Deptford which is within cooee. More information may elicit more help.
