Hello List, I am a new member to this list and hope that by joining you all I can increase my meagre knowledge of the Beecher name in the above centuries around Tunbridge Wells & Tonbridge. I am hoping to find Edward Beecher and Stephen Richard Beecher, or even any Beecher, all replies will be answered within 2 days or so, John McCarthy in Australia
John.. I have found Stephen Richard Beecher birth Born Dec. Quarter 1875 Tonbridge Kent Sussex. Vol 2a Page 573..Now I dont know if this is the correct one..only ordering the birth cert. or citing the parish records will do that.. It would be a lot easier if you could give a bit more info on these 2 as there are a few to pick from..Also the name is spelt Beacher as well as Beecher. Anything prior to 1837 will most probably need parish records..someone may have them.. Hi John There is a possible for Stephen with a brother and father Edward born Tonbridge Kent on the 1881 census. This is the only one that comes up when I narrowed him down to the birth registration found by Mary and Anne on the list. "Presuming" this is the right Stephen then this is likely your man. A birth certificate might be the go here to make sure.........
