_____ From: Philippa Cooper [mailto:pkcooper@aapt.net.au] Sent: Monday, 7 June 2010 5:07 PM To: 'KENT-ENG-D-request@rootsweb.com' Subject: WARNER - SARAH ANN Family mythology has it that my husband's great great grandmother came from Tunbridge Wells. She was born SARAH ANN WARNER and married James Bishop ( of Hampshire). Their first child was born in 1839 so I assume they were married before that. Her husband was born in 1815 so all things being equal Sarah would probably have been born about then. The marriage was not registered in Hampshire so I assume they were married in Tunbridge Wells. She appears on the 1841 census living in Hampshire, and her last child was born in 1843 - I presume she died in childbirth since she had no more children ( after having three in fairly quick succession) and James appears on the 1851 census as a widower. I have looked on IGI for a birth and had no success. Can anyone help with directions? This woman is a major stumbling block in our research! Cheers Philippa in South Australia.
