    3. The Kent OPC site works perfectly normally for me with Firefox - no need to right click on links. My version of Firefox is uptodate - perhaps old versions have problems? Thanks to all the OPC workers - your efforts are much appreciated. 1. [KENT-ENG] Kent Online Parish Clerk - getting site to work
    2. Susan Young
    3. Hello, again, Trish, I just received my digest version of the Kent Rootsweb mailing list and found your messages. Are you using Firefox? In Firefox you have to right click your mouse any one of the links and then select "open in new window" or "open in new tab". Then the links will work with no problem. This seems to apply to the links in the main menu bar at the top of the page, as well. Our pages are (as they are being updated and redeveloped) coded and validated with the W3 validator, it's just that Firefox doesn't seem to want to acknowledge the same. There is also the option of installing an add-on available for Firefox that allows viewing of a website as if it had been opened in Internet Explorer. If you are using Chrome, that is an entirely different story. Chrome only acknowledges HTML 5.0 and higher. We are coded in HTML 4.1 transitional with no intentions of going to 5 as eventually we will be going back into a content management system. I haven't tested in any current version of Opera and have no access to a Mac. But, I have heard from some Mac users with some Safari browsers that the site is working fine. I hope this helps. 3. Hi List, I have just returned from my aunts 80th birthday party, and been reminded about a family tale that said we have a pirate in our past. The information given was that his name was Peter and he was hanged in West Africa! A bit of digging shows that "Black Barts" Roberts crew was actually captured there and 52 were hanged. (in 1722) I have ordered the book "If a Pirate I Must Be ... The True Story of "Black Bart" through that well known online store But would like to ask listers if they have any advice on where I can find further details. Wikipedia does have some info on Black Bart but of course it is the 52 who were hanged who I'm interested in. I need the names (which hopefully will be in the book) and any other details from anywhere. Are the trial records anywhere for example? Were there any other instances of hangings in Africa? Any help would be appreciated. Beats trawling thro' PRs! TIA Neil.

    3. Hello, Four surrounding parishes of Tisbury, Wiltshire are, Tuckingmill, East Hatch, Upper Chicksgrove and Lower Chicksgrove. A lot of cackling in that area for not far away on the main road from London (303) is Chicklade. Try them and you hopefully will get Tisbury. Tisbury provided much stone for the building of Salisbury Cathedral. Dennis Bramble. (Kent FHS.)
