Hi again, Sorry, I should have mentioned that my Thomas Briggs (Jnr) - his father was also named Thomas. I do not have his mother's name as it was not on the marriage certificate. Thomas (Jnr) married Marie Richards, daughter of a blacksmith. Died suddenly three months later, cause = purpura. Every Thomas Briggs I find is still alive in the 1861 census and therefore NOT my Thomas Briggs. I have been searching for Thomas for nearly 20 years now. Ann Spiro Perth WA 38 degrees C and the cricket started at 11am. Would my Thomas Briggs PLEASE come home for Christmas. I have been waiting most of my life to meet you Thomas. Ho John Sorry, I forgot to say that we had a Spitfire (Piloted by Caroline Grace) doing a display overhead in line with the music? Very heart rendering, especially when I collected her from the Airfield and brought her back to the Concert area. Everyone stood up gave her a standing ovation. Hi John As an aside, I once had the pleasure of driving Dr Gordon Mitchell (son of Reg Mitchell) to a Proms Concert where the opening piece of music was the Spitfire Prelude and Fugue. During the journey we talked about our family history research and he said that he had never been able to go back beyond his Grandfather. I said I would give it a try but he was right for, as far as I could determine, his Grandfather seemingly just appeared on the scene out of nowhere? Hello good folks near and far. Maybe I can be allowed to be rather novel here. Actually it would be wonderful to have some of our (it's just me now!) beloved furry friends, who are now sadly no more, around my table. Those along with my wife and for sure would be marvellous and to have many that appear in my family tree also; what a crowd that would make, what discussions we would have! Warm regards and seasonal greetings to Kent listers. Michael in cool and dreary Essex, UK

Hi I would very much like my husband's 5th Great Grandparents John Goward and Anne Hearndon to come home for Christmas - John baptised Boxley in 1694 who with name John Gower married Anne in Boxley in 1715. We would also like his 4th Great Grandparents John Gower and Ann Sears to come, they married in Maidstone in 1738. We think it would be a really superb Christmas, being able to find out about how they lived all those years ago. It must have been hard for them with 11 children (both marriages had 11). Eveline

Hi All, It has become customary to suggest at this time of year, that you may post the details of a long lost Kentish relative who you would like to invite to Christmas Dinner (with all the trimmings) in the hope that some kind soul might help find them for you and bring them to your door. So from now until Good St Stephen's Day, December 26th 'Hunt the Wren Day' you may post such details and may the greetings of the season bring a warm glow to you. All the very best D. Stuart Hammond
