    3. Hi, This site - appears - fairly new - so we should not expect - to find much information - to date. Doesn't really look like a site - that would have our Genealogy Research Interests - available - seems more -of a social page - with more current announcements see: ,<snip>Celebrate: the lives of loved ones - births of your children and grandchildren - the marriage of your son - your daughter’s engagement - your anniversaryYou can place an obituary here, or even store <http://www.familynotices.org/write_your_own_obituary.php>your own for future release! No more frustrating attempts to keep the word-count down to reduce costs – there are none! <snip> Cheers At 10:44 AM 11/03/2010, gloria wrote: >My screen just goes blank when try any searches. Where would patients who died of TB be buried at that time? Would they have been buried according to their religion and if so which churches are nearby? Thank you for any assistance. June

Hugh Wallis put together the batch numbers of transcribed Churches and the years........remember this does not include patron submissions which should always be taken as secondary sourcing. 1. It shows what years have NOT been transcribed and when the transcriptions stop. 2. You can search by click on the batch. 3. I would sincerely like to thank Pam, Sue, Dennis, Robert, Suzannah and John for all replying to my query re William Ashby's parentage. I was on the wrong track, which I suspected, so now am on the straight and narrow! Last night, when the first few answers came in, complete with the 1891 census, I thought I'll (cheekily) ask for the 1901 census, and this morning there it was! I now have more work to do to find siblings and put more meat on the bones of William Ashby. His granddaughter in NZ will be thrilled. Regards to all, Robyn of Oz.

    3. A lot of the dissenters mentioned in Dr Williams Library are also on the LDS Vital Records cd that were put out some years ago now. The births mentioned there provide better information than was provided in Cof E Records for the time. A birth gave the parents names and the fathers of the parents as well. I was able to trace my Francis STRANGE and Frances STOCKENS/STOCKINGS from Suffolk to Middlesex because of the info from this Library. Many of the records have been filmed by the LDS also. William Jenkins who died at Newgate 1684 is among them . His mother was a dau. of John Rogers . His funeral prcession included over 150 coachs and his dau. gave out rings which really ticked off the King . Daniel Defoe is the most famous person there . THere is an office at the cem . that has records of who is interred within . Wesley's church is accoss the street . His mother Susannah is buried there. Church records are good but there are no records of the families over several generations. Several of the group remember Barbara mentioning dissenters (non- Church of England people) in the past so I guess this could be where we should be looking. The question is where? Does anyone have any good recommendations as to where to find this sort of info? > > > > John > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to KENT-ENG-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Free, trusted and rich email service. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/201469228/direct/01/
