Is that where you mean? If it is then have a look on City Ark (http://cityark.medway.gov.uk/) They may also have some of the other parishes you are interested in. The registers aren't indexed so it means trawling through them as you would if you were looking at the actual register. The new FamilySearch may have some. Buried 12 August 1854 - but where??? I have never been able to find his burial ground. If he was not buried at the Dockyard Church, where would he have been buried? The Halfway cemetery was not started in 1854. So where did they bury people between 1826 (Dockyard) and when the Halfway cemetery started? 3. Hi Paul I have an interest in the AUSTEN family, albeit not your Ellen or Isaac AUSTEN. I checked my AUSTEN notes and the following may be of interest to you: Isaac AUSTIN and Mary Ann WALL, father James WALL married at Tonbridge on 1 May 1823. I also have Sarah Martin AUSTIN marrying James WALL at Tonbridge on 20 July 1826 (James WALL's first wife died or a different James WALL?). 3. Thanks for replying. I had taken a look on Streetview and thought it likely that the houses in that area were all original because of the chimney pots. I know people often move on the same street. My immediate James line seems to have lived in at least half of the houses on Brookdale Road in Catford. It was only because this family stayed so long at each of these addresses, and because the numbers were so similar that I thought it might be the same place renumbered. Thanks again Elaine -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] Sent: Monday, April 23, 2012 10:11 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [KENT-ENG] Beacon Rd, Lewisham Hi Numbers 43 and 63 are both built in the same style from the same period so it would appear they actually moved. 2. Elaine Robinson
    3. Good morning Does anyone know if Beacon Rd in Lewisham was renumbered between 1933 and 1934. Ambrose Bryant and family (his wife was one of my James line) lived at 43 Beacon Rd from 1908 until 1933. Then in 1934 the address changes to 63 Beacon Rd. This family and the next generation (Gwinnett) lived at no. 63 until at least the 1960’s. I know people often moved around on one street, but this family seemed to remain here for so long, I wondered if it was the same house. Elaine Robinson Georgetown Ontario

A teenaged boy found the battered, bronze-like urn, under a pier last month and took it to Astoria, Oregon funeral director Tom Preston. Using only the urn’s inscription, “ William George KENNEDY, Born 1870 – Died 1925”, Mr Preston traced the remains to Iris CLOSE, Kennedy’s granddaughter. A resident of Oliver, B.C., Mrs Close told the Nelson Star last week that she did not even know the remains were missing. Kennedy came to Canada from Canterbury, England in 1911 and opened a nursery in B.C. before becoming a hotel owner in Bellingham, Washington where he died. Larry Sherratt, who claims to be a distant relative, told a TV station he discovered the urn about 35 years ago while cleaning out a closet and had it buried at sea. >National Post (Canada), Wednesday April 11, 2012 > > >William G Kennedy, son of Patrick and Mary Ann, is listed in 1881 in Canterbury, aged 11 born at Canterbury. >He is still in Canterbury in 1891, and is married to Mary with 3 children by 1901 in Thannington.  (Married Sep Qtr 1894 to Mary Windle at Canterbury RD) > >  >Maureen Rawson >[email protected] > > >Kent Genealogy Website: >http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mrawson/ > >
