I also can't remember the e-mail I sent, but I was trying to find a reference to a JOHN WARREN b.circ. 1792 or GEORGE WARREN b.1782 somewhere in North Devon. JOHN supposedly eloped with his mother's ladies maid (They must have been reasonably well-off) to Hawkehurst in Kent. GEORGE I think followed him sometime later. They were both wheelwrights and builders, so maybe there was a family business in Devon. The first sons always seem to have been named after the father in the family, so I'm probably looking for a GEORGE WARREN b.circ.1750-1760 in North Devon who was a wheelwright. I don't expect you can help, because he would have been dead by the time of the 1851 census, but maybe you may have one or two leads.
