    3. I hope I’m reaching everyone who emailed on March 11th and forward. I have not been on Rootsweb in many years but I believe my Kent line came from England to Gloucester, MA, Essex, MA to Vt, NH, and some headed to KS. Maybe some connections can be made. My tree is on Ancestry. Would love to hear more. 3. Sean, I assume you've probably looked at this, but if not, check out the Kent Family Tree maintained by Lori MacGregor on Ancestry. She shows an Asa Kent b. 1765 in Berkshire, MA with a son "J.S, Asa Kent" who matches your man, and this earlier Asa shown as living in Oneida in 1800. 3. Love hearing the success stories! I'm stuck at Asa Kent, my 3rd GG b. 05 Feb 1792 in Whitestown, Oneida, NY. Most of the Kent line I'm from were either born in Springfield, Erie, PA or Roscoe, Winnebago, IL. 3. I have an Ancestry account, but it's not much use once you get to Europe before 1750 or so. I go digging on my own, contacting local historians and genealogy societies, searching the records of various national and local archives, death-duty records and court calendars, consulting the LDS microfilms and so on. One worthwhile place to look is FamilySearch.org. and it's free. Ernie On Mon, 11 Mar 2019, E and B Norton wrote: > WOWZA, Good on you. May I ask which site, ancestry, myheritage, etc do > you use. 3. This is so interesting! I am at work and somehow this came through to me. Mind me asking where you got the list you are sending to? I am a Kent, but I believe my ancestors were from around Arkansas. I don't know how my work email address ended up on a list - I have been on Ancestry before though.
