I am researching James Wheler Kemp, his father George, and anyone else regarding this family. James Wheler apparently was born in India and served under General Gordon of the British Army. He was given some land in Jamaica (a sugar plantation) and died there. He had several children: Reginald Wheler (my grandfather); Trevor; Kenneth; Penelope; Mabel; and Gwen. This person had the exact information I am seeking and we are obviously related. If ANYONE knows of this person, please let me know.
