Bob, I am the Association's expert on the Kemp's of New England. Here's what is known and/or suspected about Samuel.... Samuel Kemp was born about 1640, possibly in Dedham, Mass. He married in Billerica on 23 May 1662 to Sarah Foster, daughter of Andrew and Ann (____) Foster. Both Samuel and Sarah are known to have been alive as late as August 1697, when yhey signed a land conveyance in Charlestown. There has been quite a bit of speculation on the relationships of Edward and Samuel Kemp, as well as Samuel and Andrew Foster (Samuel Foster married Edward Kemp's only daughter). I am continuing to peck away at these stories, trying to make as complete as possible the history of these eaest Kemp's in Mass. My hope is to have research ready for presentation at the Reunion in October 1998 in Dallas. Let me know if I can help you any further on this.
