I have extracted all the mentions of the name Kemp from the book *Victorian Village*, The diaries of the Rev. John Coker Egerton who was Rector of the parish of Burwash in Sussex from 1857 to 1888. This is the village that my father and grandfather came from. Not only is the book of interest because it concerns Burwash, it is also a wonderful description of the conditions of the agricultural labourer in Britain during this period. If anyone is interested in the Kemp references, then please e-mail me and I will send the references as a file attachment. If anyone is interested in the book, then again e-mail me and I will send details. Kindest regards, John Kemp Gloucester UK
