Dear all. May I offer my most sincere thanks to everyone who sent their good wishes to me when I had my recent stay in hospital. I am afraid that I am not yet up to answering each of you individually, so if you would accept this collective thank you. While I was in hospital, my son logged on for me, collected all the e-mails and printed out the well wishes. When I came round after the operation, feeling awful, almost wishing that it was all over as I felt so bad, a young nurse wondering what all the messages were, started reading them out to me. Suddenly knowing that there were all those kind people, most of whom I will never ever meet, offering me their thoughts and prayers made me feel so much better, it was unbelievable. Thank you all. Anyway, I was allowed home yesterday, which was our wedding anniversary much Ann's delight as we had at least part of the day together at home. Everything has gone according to plan with the operation and I should soon be back to normal, moaning about everything and anything.
