Kemp. Hi George: Grandaughter Patience Kemp was mentioned in grandfather Ralph Partridge's will. There is no mention of a William Kemp, Jr. I have been forwarded an analysis from another researcher that contended that both "William Kemp, Jr," and "Patience Thacher" are complete fabrications and in fact did not exist. Apparently these people were "manufactured" by early Thacher genealogies of the 19th century to justify a Patience Kemp, dau of Elizabeth, marrying Sam Seabury. However, I have not been able to get the citation for that document. I've heard from Bob Young on this list that an article was included in a Kemp newsletter about this situation, but I have not see what that says. PS: Did you know you were a cousin to Ulysses S.
