Hi, I am looking for more information on a Kemp family which seemed to be based in and around Brighton, England. If anyone has any advice to help, I would be very gratefull. This is a breakdown of some the family members. Richard Kemp- born 1804 in Sedlescombe (a Private in the 10th Hussars and lived in Edward Street Brighton) married Anne Eutheme ? they had a son called Richard Kemp (my great great grandfather)born 21st April 1827 (again led a military career which explains why his children were born all over the country) -died 27th dec. 1909 He moved to Cornwall around 1880 with his 2 youngest children-(Robert and Thomas) He may have had brothers and/or sisters but I have no records of them. he married Mary Ann Cutbath They had 6 children- George Kemp- (it looks possible that this is the Kemp that worked alongside Marconi at Poldhu in Cornwall) Alfred Henry Kemp- born July 1857 in Birmingham Mary Ann Sarah Kemp- born October 1859 in Hounslow, Middlesex moved to Cornwall and married William Tucker Arthur Wheeler Kemp- born August 1851 at St. James in Norwich Robert Richard Kemp- born 18 september 1871 in Marlebone, London later moved to Cornwall Thomas Cutbath Kemp (my great grandfather)- born 21st Dec 1873 and lived most of his life in Cornwall.
